With less than a month until the kick-off, the roster of teams who will animate the the fourth edition of the International Pulcino d’Oro Tournament from 14 June to 17 June is being finalised. There will be 48 teams present in Valsugana, 12 professional and 36 amateur, with approximately one thousand young players in the Pulcini category who will give life to over 300 matches during the four days of the event.
After the adhesion of Juventus and the two Portuguese teams of Sporting Lisbon and Porto, the tournament organized by the experienced staff of Unione Sportiva Levico Terme has received confirmation from Inter, who was victorious in 2016 and 2017 (tied with Sporting last year).
The Nerazzurri, who have participated each year of the tournament thus far, will return to Valsugana to defend their title as the highly-anticipated stars of an event that is growing year after year from technical, qualitative and organizational points of view.
In addition to Inter, four other Serie A teams have already confirmed their participation, namely Rome, Sampdoria, Turin and Hellas Verona. These teams have already been protagonists in Trentino during the previous editions of the Pulcino d’Oro, without failing to mention Parma who is in full battle for promotion in the top national series with its own first team. The Emilian baby footballers will be present in Valsugana, alongside the bianconeri of Cesena, the winners of the first edition, and FC Südtirol, a team that represents the highest calibre of football in Trentino-Alto Adige.
In the next few hours, the official confirmation of an esteemed English club is expected, which will give a further international touch to a tournament that is increasingly expanding its borders. At the same time, the final roster of the 36 amateur groups is being defined and will be announced shortly.
